Wounds heal but how does the recovery of deep scars look like?
It would have looked like the life of the author. A child haunted by early memories all her life with nobody to talk to. Always reliving the trauma but still going strong to bring justice to the perpetrators. Also denying the victimhood that brings the allegations of being a sellout.
This was not an easy life to live that ended in a tragic death. And the world can go all philosophical about resting in peace but what was expected was to facilitate a living in peace.
